We are Passionate Followers of Christ bringing the life of God to a dying world.
While that might sound like just a catchy phrase, we actually believe in living it out. Here's what it means:
HeartLine:
(HäRT´LÿN) n. A relationship that connects two hearts, especially the heart of the sinner and the Heart of God.
Passionate Followers of Christ (PFCs) - Jesus Christ is Lord and owner of our lives. He is a person, not a belief system. We can have an actual relationship with Him - knowing Him, talking with Him, loving Him, and being loved by Him. He does not force or demand our obedience, but we choose to follow Him by obeying His word because we love Him, and doing so leads to true life and is always in our best interest. Also, it's only right to live for God being that He is God who created us, died on the cross to pay the price for our sin, and rose again to give us new life.
Bringing the life of God to a dying world - At HeartLine, we decided a long time ago to be more than a youth group, but also a youth ministry. We are not satisfied to just get together to have fun, while so many others are hurting, lonely, confused, depressed, or otherwise unfulfilled in life and in desperate need of Jesus. HeartLine exists to help youth and young adults have a real relationship with the one true God. The "life of God" is His love, healing, peace, joy, and endless fulfillment that all of us were created to have. Nobody is excluded from God's love or the offer of eternal life, no matter who you are or what you have done. Jesus came so that we might have abundant life in this world as well as the hope of eternal life. HeartLine exists to connect people to the life of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
"Believer" vs."Follower"
It is NOT enough just to believe that God exists or that Jesus is God's Son. Salvation requires that we follow Jesus by putting our faith in Him, and living life God's way.
Jesus loves freaks, preps, jocks, goths, dweebs, punks, blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos, Jews, Gentiles, upper class, lower class, mixed class, the classless, the clueless, the scholarly, dropouts, drug addicts, smokers, jokers, rejects, losers, liars, thieves, murderers, gamblers, white collars, blue collars, no collars, saints, sinners, haters, skaters, male, female, young, old, and any other group we forgot to mention. You are loved because you were made by God, in His image, for a relationship with Him. We love you too, and you are welcome at HeartLine.
